Destination

 

snow on the pine
is shaking loose found words

wolves flicker between the timberlines

there is no sound for miles
except where an icicle melts
freezes
melts
never completely releasing

listen for that stilled voice
speaking within us
break off like geese

when we finally reach our destination
we will dissemble into rain
