Artist Statement: These three photos were taken on a road trip prior to the pandemic at the ghost town of Rhyolite, NV. Each of these human made artifacts tells its own story about the life the residents of this town lived and the fact they have survived over 100 years in the harsh desert climate says something about their manufacture.

Roger Camp is the author of three photography books including the award winning Butterflies in Flight, Thames & Hudson, 2002 and Heat, Charta, Milano, 2008. His documentary photography  has been awarded the prestigious Leica Medal of Photography. His photographs are represented by the Robin Rice Gallery, NYC.
