NAPTIME

The house is asleep
in its dark glasses.

Sky swims in
the closed lids, its lenses.

Sky drowns itself
in dreams

of the house. If only
I could heal

myself in silence.
In the basement,

a cricket grinds away
at its rusty box

of music. Only I am
aware of its existence.
