Artist Statement:

I’d published a handful of photos over the years but got really interested when seven appeared alongside my poems at Buinho Residency in southern Portugal in 2024. Since that time, another’s appeared in a journal. Now I’m hooked.

Margo Davis wonders which has the greater pull, geographic locale or a pressing need to express herself? Recently her photo All Fall Down received Honorable Mention in Equinox and in 2024, seven others were displayed in an exhibit in Portugal. Her writing residencies have been in the Pacific Northwest, Portugal, Budapest, Spain and Italy. A three-time Pushcart nominee, her poems have appeared in The Ekphrastic Review, Equinox, Passager, Verse Daily, Panoply and Unknotting the Line: The Poetry in Prose. Poetry of the SW U.S. Her chapbook Quicksilver is available on Amazon. Uncoupling (Lamar Press) will appear in spring 2026.
