Sandra Storey

I START TO SPEAK…

…close my lips.
Your eyes make me
forget my complaints
about—
I don’t remember.

So little time, and
more important things
to say, like
I like you so much. And
The weather will get better.

Let’s go to the museum
where we know
everything is art.
We can share a sandwich
in the bright café.
