I hope you’re faring well today, laughing often, and creating art! Today is the last day to submit to the Fall 2024 issue of MHR. The issue will be published on October 1st.

Until 11:59 PM Central Time today, feel free to send us your work–we’ll be glad to view it! As you’ll remember, this issue’s theme is Deception, however you conceptualize it.

MockingHeart friends! Happy August.

How is it already getting on toward Fall?? The year is ticking right along. Summer heat drifts down, here in Louisiana, with the rhythmic, inevitable cadence of our many active cicadas, and with that rhythm comes opportunity–as submissions are now open for MHR 9.3, the Fall 2024 issue of MockingHeart Review! You can submit from today until August 31. We can’t wait to witness the creations you send our way!

Our Fall 2024 theme is Deception–however you choose to interpret this idea. When you’re ready, meditate and create around whatever idea springs to mind, and then send your poetry and/or artwork our way. We look forward to experiencing it.

Here we are, almost at the end of 2023! Where does the time go? It’s a hard question to answer, but one certainty is that submissions are now open for MHR 9.1, the Winter 2024 issue of MockingHeart Review! You can submit from today until December 31. And here toward the end of the year, togetherness with those we care about can help us make it all the way through.

In that spirit, our Winter 2024 theme is Camaraderie, the trust and friendship we foster with those whose company we keep. When you’re ready, meditate and create around this concept, and then send your poetry and/or artwork our way! We look forward to experiencing it.
